FiberSMART® is a next-generation dietary fiber derived from tapioca (cassava root) and classified as a resistant dextrin. Through a controlled process known as pyrodextrinization, tapioca starch is transformed into indigestible glucose chains that resist digestion in the small intestine, allowing FiberSMART® to function as a true dietary fiber with prebiotic activity.

Unlike many fibers that ferment rapidly and cause gas or bloating, tapioca-resistant dextrin ferments slowly and selectively in the lower small intestine and colon.
